Terms of Service (JAPAN&BEYOND)

Welcome to JAPAN&BEYOND. In these Terms of Service, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to JAPAN&BEYOND. JAPAN&BEYOND operates this store and website and provides you with a curated shopping experience, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”). Our store is hosted on Shopify, and Shopify provides us with the online e-commerce platform to offer the Service.

These Terms of Service and all policies referenced herein (collectively, these “Terms” or “Agreement”) describe your rights and responsibilities when you use the Service.

Article 3 – Orders
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to accept or reject any order for any reason. An order is not formed until we confirm acceptance. Before accepting your order, we may need to receive and process your payment. Please review your order carefully before submitting it.
After an order has been accepted, we may not be able to accommodate cancellation requests. However, we accept cancellations only before shipment. We cannot accept cancellations after shipment.
If we do not accept an order, change its contents, or cancel it, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by contacting the email address, billing address, and/or phone number provided at the time of purchase.
Returns and exchanges are handled only in accordance with our Refund Policy (/policies/refund-policy).
You represent and warrant that the products you purchase are for your personal or household use and are not intended for commercial resale or export purposes.

(Orders via External Services such as WSB)
For orders placed through external services such as WorldShopping BIZ (“WSB”), the purchase process, payment, international shipping, customs clearance, tracking, return requests, and other handling may be processed in accordance with the guidance, terms, and procedures of the relevant external service. In such cases, our refund/return terms apply only to the extent that they supplement the external service’s procedures.

Article 4 – Prices and Billing
Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be shown in the order confirmation email.
Unless otherwise stated, listed prices do not include shipping, fees, customs duties, or import charges. Customs duties, import taxes, and other customs-related charges are, in principle, the responsibility of the purchaser.
How taxes are handled (whether included in the displayed price) follows the information shown on each product page.
We may run promotions from time to time, and such promotions may affect pricing and may be governed by separate terms. If there is any conflict between promotion terms and these Terms, the promotion terms will control.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase, payment, and account information for all purchases made in our store.

Article 5 – Shipping and Delivery
International shipping from our store may be provided through external services such as WorldShopping BIZ (“WSB”).

Our estimated handling time is typically 2–7 business days after order confirmation (payment confirmation) (approximately one week as a guideline), although this may vary depending on inventory status, peak seasons, and other circumstances.
Shipping fees vary by destination country and will follow the amount shown at checkout or otherwise displayed.

We are not liable for damages resulting from delivery delays caused by factors outside our control, including carrier delays, customs procedures, weather, or international circumstances. Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
However, in the event of significant delays or other circumstances, we may, at our discretion, offer remedies such as proposing alternatives, split shipments, or cancellation (refund) options (this does not constitute a promise to refund).

Title to and risk of loss transfer to you at the time the product is handed over to the carrier.
However, if applicable laws restrict this treatment, the applicable laws will prevail.

(Important) Purchases via External Services
If a purchase is made via an external service such as WSB, the handling of the purchase process, payment, international shipping, customs clearance, tracking, and return requests may be governed by the guidance, terms, and procedures of that external service. Whether an order is via WSB may be determined based on the purchase screen, order confirmation email, payment descriptor, and/or order information.

Article 6 – Intellectual Property
The Service (including, without limitation, trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product reviews, video and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) is owned by us, our affiliates, or our licensors, and is protected by intellectual property laws in various jurisdictions.
Under these Terms, you are granted permission to use the Service only for personal and non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any content from the Service without our prior written consent.

You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind, and without any endorsement.

Our store is hosted on Shopify, and Shopify provides us with the platform to offer the Service. However, purchases made through our store are generally made directly with us. For purchases made via external services such as WSB, processing may be handled in accordance with the guidance, terms, and procedures of the relevant external service. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of sales made between you and us (or purchases via external services).

We may change these Terms at any time. By continuing to use the Service after changes are posted, you agree to the revised Terms.
